We needed something to fill the space along the wall next to our bed, and because our room is so neutral, we decided we wanted a pop of color to brighten things up. Enter the idea for a cheery colored kilim bench with hairpin legs to tie in a bit of that midcentury vibe. I am a huge fan of the vintage mudcloth pattern that seems to be popping up everywhere lately! I haven’t been able to find a way to seamlessly incorporate it into our home…until now. We wanted to add a couple cool plants to our front porch and I found these awesome terracotta pots at Ikea for a couple bucks and decided they would look awesome when painted with the mudcloth pattern.
