When I first brought up the idea of doing maternity photos with Mike he totally balked at the idea haha. He was worried I was going to go with a breezy bedroom, lace underwear, and flowy robe situation while he just hung around in the background of photos or awkwardly grabbed at my belly. That was definitely not what I had in mind.
What I really wanted was a modern and minimal, fully clothed, family shoot with Mike and Sawyer. I have been feeling a little sad about that fact that in a few short weeks I won’t have them all to myself anymore and there will be a little barnacle in our lives who will physically need so much of me. We are obviously SO excited, it’s just a huge change, and I am trying to wrap my brain around it while soaking up every minute I have with them!
Anyway, Lauren Scotti was our obvious pick for a photographer. She shot our engagements and wedding and is such a talented and sweet human being and brings so much fun to our shoots! This pregnancy has been HARD. I have been so sick, tired, and uncomfortable, but seeing these photos actually made me feel pretty! And I am so, so grateful for this little miracle growing inside me. I feel so lucky to have these photos to remember this crazy time.
