I want to share our engagement story. A) because it was the coolest/weirdest day of my life, B) because I want it in text so I never forget the little things, and C) when you share the story hundreds of times to family and friends it gets watered down and sometimes the details are the best part...

Mike and I both feel super weird about creating a wedding registry. Wait, so it's acceptable to make a list of items we *want* and people will just buy them for you?? This is not something that we are familiar with. Interesting idea...but definitely foreign.
After doing a bit of research around the internets, I found Zola.com, a beautiful registry site that at first glance looks like it's strictly for wealthy people with expensive taste and loads of friends who want to buy them a Jonathan Adler vase and a marble cheese plate*. I have nothing against this, I just can't imagine that many of OUR guests would fall under that category.
After a bit more investigation, I found that not only does Zola partner with some really great quality brands to offer on their site, they also allow you to add any item from any corner of the internet to your registry. You can also add a section for cash gifts that can be put toward furniture and honeymoon funds! Now we're talking. And being a designer, I can *really* appreciate a beautifully designed website that is also easy to use and intuitive.
Use my link when you create your own registry and receive $20 of Zola credit immediately!!
Soooo, we may not have much of anything else done for the wedding (that is only 3 months away, mind you), but you can bet your butt our registry is all good to go. Thanks Zola!
*I may or may not have added this item to our registry. omg I really love cheese.
